Adoption Process
We are looking for permanent, responsible and loving homes for our animals. Our knowledgeable staff and Adoption
Counselor can help you make an informed selection, provide you with useful information on the animal(s) you've
chosen, and assist you throughout the adoption process. Please take the time to read through our adoption policies
and guidelines. You will be required to sign this form, both acknowledging and accepting the terms of the adoption.
Once your application is submitted and reviewed by our staff, you may place a 24 hour pending on the animal you have
selected. No pending may be placed on an animal without first submitting your application or before visiting with the
animal you wish to adopt. There is a non-refundable fee of $20 to place the pending, which will be applied towards
the adoption fee if you decide to adopt. There may be situations where we will require a site visit to ensure your
environment suits the adopted animal.
The entire adoption process, including mandatory spay/neuter, may take 24 hours or more, so you may not always be able
to take your new pet home right away. All adoptions will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis to qualified
adopters. Approved applications are kept on file for six months.
Applications must be filled out completely and accurately. Incomplete applications cannot be processed. The
application is designed to help us help you make the best possible choice - the right home for each animal and
the right animal for each home.
